Bizdateup Network Private Limited ("NTWRK", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all individuals ("User", "Data Principal", "you") engaging with our networking, events, and mobile application services.
This Privacy Policy explains how NTWRK, acting as the Data Fiduciary, collects, uses, shares, and protects User data under:
- The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA");
- The Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder;
- Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology ("MeitY"); and
- Any other applicable Indian data protection regulations as amended from time to time.
This policy also fulfils the data disclosure requirements of the Apple App Store (App Privacy Nutrition Labels) and the Google Play Store (Data Safety Form).

Personal Data Collected
We collect and process the following categories of personal data through the NTWRK App and website:
3.1 Account and Profile Data
- Full name, email address, mobile phone number
- User role selected at registration: Investor, Startup / Founder, or Attendee
- Organisation name, job title / designation
- LinkedIn profile URL and other social media links (if provided)
- Profile photograph (if uploaded)
- Investor-specific: investment thesis, sector preferences, cheque size range, geographic focus (visible to Startups in limited form only)
- Startup-specific: company name, founding year, industry sector, funding stage, one-line description, pitch deck (if shared)
3.2 Location Data
- Precise GPS location: collected only when you grant location permission, solely to display nearby NTWRK events. Location is processed in-session and is not stored on our servers.
- You may revoke location permission at any time via iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > NTWRK, or Android: Settings > Apps > NTWRK > Permissions > Location. Revoking location permission does not affect other App features.
3.3 Event and Registration Data
- Event registrations and attendance records
- Registration confirmation details and event check-in records
3.4 Technical and Device Data
- Device type, manufacturer, model, and OS version (iOS / Android)
- Device identifiers as permitted by the OS; advertising ID only with explicit consent
- IP address
- Push notification token (for event reminders and service alerts)
- App usage data: screens visited, time spent, tap events — for analytics and product improvement only
3.5 Consent and Communication Data
- Marketing communication opt-in / opt-out preferences
- Support and correspondence records
3.6 Event Media (Video, Audio, and Photography) — Open Consent
By creating a NTWRK account, registering for any NTWRK event, or attending any NTWRK event, venue, gathering, masterclass, podcast, or networking activity, you grant NTWRK open, ongoing, irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide consent to photograph, film, audio-record, and otherwise capture your image, voice, likeness, and statements, and to use, reproduce, modify, edit, publish, broadcast, livestream, archive, distribute, and create derivative works from such material — in any medium now known or later developed — for documentation, editorial, promotional, marketing, advertising, training, and commercial purposes, including across NTWRK's websites, apps, social media, podcasts, partner channels, and third-party publications.
This consent is granted without expectation of payment, royalty, attribution, or further notice. You waive any right to inspect or approve the use of any such material before publication.
If you wish to request the removal of specific recorded material that identifies you (subject to technical feasibility and legitimate retention obligations), contact the Grievance Officer at grievance@bizdateup.com. Removal requests are actioned within 30 days where technically feasible. Incidental capture in group / wide-angle / crowd footage may not always be removable.
For minors (under 18), this consent must be granted by a parent or legal guardian per Section 12.

Profile Visibility
The Platform allows certain Users to view the profiles of other Users as follows:
4.1 Investor and Attendee Visibility
- Investors and Attendees may view the public profiles of other Attendees and Startups, including company name, sector, funding stage, and any publicly shared pitch materials.
- Private or restricted fields designated as non-public by a Startup are not accessible to Investors or Attendees.
4.2 Startup Visibility
- Startups may view a limited and selective view of Investor profiles including name, organisation, and stated investment preferences only.
- Full Investor details such as portfolio, detailed investment thesis, or contact information are not visible to Startups unless the Investor explicitly enables this.
4.3 User Responsibilities
- Users must not use other Users' profile data for any purpose beyond professional networking within the Platform.
- Scraping, bulk downloading, or redistributing other Users' data is strictly prohibited.

Legal Basis and Purposes of Processing
- Consent: Marketing communications, event media, location access, optional profiling.
- Contract Performance: To register Users and deliver event-related services.
- Legitimate Use: Fraud prevention, platform security, service improvement, analytics.
- Legal Obligation: Compliance with Indian tax, GST, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Data Sharing and Recipients
- Within the NTWRK organisation with authorised employees and contractors bound by confidentiality obligations.
- With trusted service providers (cloud hosting, push notifications, analytics, email delivery) under written data processing agreements.
- With venue partners: Name and registration status only, solely for event access management and check-in. Venue partners are contractually prohibited from using this data for any other purpose.
- With legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities as required by Indian law or court order.
- With explicit User consent for any other purpose.
NTWRK does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party for monetary or non-monetary consideration.

International Data Transfers
If personal data is transferred outside India (for example, to AWS infrastructure), NTWRK ensures adequate safeguards are in place in compliance with DPDPA 2023 Section 16, including contractual data-processing terms with all overseas processors and storage in regions that meet equivalent security standards. NTWRK will not transfer data to countries notified as restricted by the Central Government under the DPDPA.

Information Security
NTWRK implements encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, secure AWS infrastructure, and periodic security audits.
In the event of a personal data breach likely to affect User rights, NTWRK will notify the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI) within 72 hours and notify affected Users promptly with details of the breach, data affected, and remedial measures.

Data Retention
- Account and profile data: Deleted or anonymised within 30 days of a valid account deletion request.
- Event registration data: 3 years from the event date.
- Financial and transaction records: 8 years as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST laws.
- Location data: Not stored on NTWRK servers — processed in-session only.
- Event recordings (video / audio / photos): Retained for as long as they serve a legitimate business purpose. Removal requests actioned within 30 days.
- Marketing consent records: Until consent is withdrawn.
- Technical and device data: 2 years.

User Rights (DPDPA 2023)
- Access (Section 11): Request a summary of personal data being processed.
- Correction and Erasure (Section 12): Correct inaccurate data or request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Grievance Redressal (Section 13): Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (Section 17).
- Nominate (Section 14): Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Withdraw Consent: Via App Settings or by contacting the Grievance Officer at any time.
- Account Deletion: Via App Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing grievance@bizdateup.com.
- Revoke Location Access: Via device settings at any time.
- Request Removal from Event Recordings: As described in Section 3.6.
- Complain to the DPBI: If your complaint to NTWRK is not resolved satisfactorily.
We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and respond within 30 days.

Account Deletion
In compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 5.1.1) and Google Play account deletion policy:
How to Delete
- In-App: App Settings > Account > Delete Account, and confirm.
- By Email: Email grievance@bizdateup.com with subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email.
What Happens After Deletion
- Profile and personal data deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Financial records retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.
- Event recording appearances require a separate removal request (Section 3.6).
- A deleted account cannot be restored.

Children's and Minors' Data
Users under 18 may use the App only with verifiable parental or legal guardian consent, under DPDPA 2023 Section 9.
Minimum Age
Users must be at least 13 years old. Users aged 13–17 require verifiable parental or guardian consent before account activation.
Parental Consent Process
- At registration, users under 18 must provide a parent or guardian's name, email, and mobile number. NTWRK sends a consent request; the account is not activated until consent is confirmed.
- Parents or guardians may withdraw consent at any time by contacting the Grievance Officer, resulting in account suspension and deletion within 30 days.
Restrictions on Minor Accounts
- No behavioural monitoring, targeted advertising, or profiling of users under 18.
- Minor accounts are excluded from any commercial data sharing with third parties.
- Event recording consent for minors must be separately provided by the parent or guardian.
Parental Rights
Parents or guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data by contacting the Grievance Officer with proof of guardianship.
If data from a child under 13 is found to have been collected without consent, it will be deleted immediately.

Direct Marketing and Communications
NTWRK does not send marketing or transactional SMS. All one-time passwords (OTPs), verification codes, and account alerts are delivered via email only. With explicit consent, NTWRK may send marketing communications via:
- Email (opt-in at registration or via account settings) — including newsletters, event invitations, and product updates.
- In-app push notifications (via device notification permissions) — for event reminders and service alerts.
Opt out at any time via App Settings > Notification Preferences, the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting the Grievance Officer. Transactional emails (OTP, account, refund, security, grievance acknowledgements) cannot be opted out of as they are necessary to provide the Service.

Anti-Spam Policy
NTWRK is committed to preventing unsolicited and abusive communications, both from NTWRK to Users and between Users on the Platform.
NTWRK's commitments
- We send marketing email only to Users who have explicitly opted in. Opt-in records are retained as proof of consent under DPDPA 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- Every marketing email carries a clear unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 7 days, in line with global anti-spam standards.
- We do not sell, rent, lease, or share email addresses with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- We do not purchase email lists or send communications to addresses obtained without consent.
- Sender identity (legal name and contact address) is included in every marketing email, in line with industry best practice.
User obligations
Users must not, on or via the Platform:
- send unsolicited bulk messages, junk, or chain communications to other Users;
- harvest, scrape, or compile contact details of other Users for any external messaging campaign;
- impersonate NTWRK or any third party in messages sent through the Platform;
- bypass any rate limits or anti-abuse mechanisms; or
- use the Platform's messaging or networking features to send commercial solicitations to Users who have not consented.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of the offending account, without notice, and may attract liability under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
How to report spam
Report any spam, phishing, or abusive communication purporting to come from NTWRK or a NTWRK User to grievance@bizdateup.com with the subject line "Spam Report" and a copy of the offending message. We acknowledge spam reports within 48 hours and act on confirmed reports within 7 days.

- Diagnostics: Aggregate performance data only
- Device Info: Device type, OS version
Tracking
- NTWRK does not track Users across third-party apps or websites for advertising without explicit consent. On iOS, App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent is requested before any advertising identifier is accessed.

- Payment Processing (when ticketing goes live): Easebuzz Payment Solutions Private Limited. Payment card data is not stored by NTWRK.
NTWRK does not currently use any third-party crash-reporting service.
All service providers are governed by their own privacy policies. NTWRK maintains written data processing agreements with all providers.

Updates to This Privacy Policy
Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or registered email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
